I teach because I want to help students build a solid technical foundation that opens the door to group music-making. My goal is to make the violin approachable yet precise, ensuring every student develops the stable posture, core reading skills, and confidence needed to play successfully alongside others, while also encouraging musicality for solo performances.

Having started learning the violin as an adult, and then going on to complete Trinity Grade 8 level, I have a good grasp of the 'how to' of building technique. I want to see each student improve to the best of their abilities, and to instill in them a life-long appreciation for the art of playing the violin - be it in ensembles, orchestras, lessons at high school or just for the fun of it.
